Denton, TX, May 1, 2023 – Peterbilt will showcase zero-emissions and advanced technology vehicles at ACT Expo from May 1-4th in Booth #6526 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
On display is a Model 520EV refuse configuration featuring the industry’s first all-electric side loader body from Heil. In contrast to traditional hydraulically powered bodies, this electric-actuated body uses no hydraulics while on route and is fully integrated with the Model 520EV. This results in an energy-efficient vehicle with a single point of charge and increased range.
Also on display is a Model 579 equipped with Aurora L4 advanced autonomous technology. Peterbilt and Aurora continue to advance the progress of autonomous vehicles and are working together to develop premium, best-in-class products for Peterbilt customers that are being tested and validated for real-world commercial applications.
Peterbilt will also offer a ride and drive during ACT Expo of the Model 220EV and Model 579EV for customers to experience the overall performance, as well as the quiet and smooth handling of Peterbilt’s electric vehicles. The Model 220EV is the best solution for medium duty pickup and delivery and features a Morgan van body. The Model 579EV features a Muncie Terzo ePTO and Wet Kit, which is ideal for PTO-powered trailer applications like a transfer dump or bulk hauler.
In addition to Peterbilt’s electric and autonomous vehicles on display at the show, attendees can learn more about Peterbilt’s sustainable transportation initiatives by attending the following informative sessions:
